Man this game brings me back to the early 90's I remember renting this game every weekend back then I never owned it but now I have invested in buying a Sega and this game is still fun to play.
At times I can get frustrated especially passing the cave but its a fun game from my childhood. Good times! It seems like in the 90s and 80s and s Konami hit a home run with video games and this game is no exception it's fun might play like sonic the hedgehog but still enjoyable.

This is nothing out of the ordinary as far as mega drive games go, you could think of it as just another platformer, and you'd be right.
It follows the same pattern as mario and sonic whereby you begin with a green lush first level, then as the levels advance they become darker, it's predictable and unoriginal. But it's fun, the gameplay mechanics are good and unlike many of those copy cat platformers where controls don't flow and feel stiff or wooden, this one works. If you're feeling a bit nostalgic or want a genuinely good game then I'd recommend this, yes it's more of the same, but it's one of those games that was well made and I'm willing to say an overlooked gem.
